Annie Wood is a 20-something living and creating outside of Atlanta, Georgia. She is best known for her Instagram presence online. Her content focuses on living a life full of color and fun while also living with multiple chronic illnesses and disability. Although a full-time wheelchair user, that doesn't slow her down, in fact, she's faster on wheels!

 

Having first hand experience as a patient advocate, Annie works with a number of nonprofit organizations in writing for, as well as promoting their work on her social media platforms. More recently, she has gone on to work with clothing brands to continue her mission of inclusion in all areas of life, including the fashion industry. 

 

In 2021 Annie graduated from The Savannah College of Art and Design in Atlanta, Georgia with a Bachelors of Fine Art in Painting.

 

Exploring the full potential of a material is what drove her creative process. The work she created during this time was formed through a variety of 2D and 3D found materials, including textiles, and plastic shopping bags, among others.

 

Annie’s work has been included in Emerge: An Intercollegiate Art Student Exhibition in Atlanta, GA, Landscapes: An Art Exhibition, in Atlanta, Georgia, as well as Open Studio Night at Savannah College of Art and Design 2017 and 2018.
